We must engender in our children the sense of freedom to develop and create their own worlds, to generate positivity.
Imagination drives creativity, helps develop problem
solving skills and creates confidence in the child.
Imagination development is essential
to childhood – and is a building block to adulthood.

GINA DELEO MARTELL
Our Author and Storyteller

Gina came upon the idea for CLOSE YOUR EYES while raising her own children. At
the end of the day her especially active son was a challenge to settle down and get to
sleep. She found that reading slow-paced, but active stories, helped soothe him and
brought about a peaceful sleep. There is a universality to the stories…. They can be
enjoyed by all children, including those with functional disabilities.

At the end of the day we all need to relax and clear our minds… children are no
exception.

“I LOVE TO LOOK UP AT THE SKY… WHEN I LOOK UP, WHAT DO I SEE? ANIMAL SHAPES IN THE CLOUDS ABOVE ME! THERE’S AN ELEPHANT… AND A DOLPHIN!”
Close Your Eyes... and Bring Back Imagination!
